Where to eat during FANTOKU?

where to eat at fantoku

Let’s face it. FANTOKU is a LONG event, so it’s only natural that we’re all going to get hungry at some point. Lucky for us, there are a lot of choices within walking distance of the venue and they’re all more than willing to fill your belly for a reasonable price.

Johnny’s Diner

They say that breakfast and lunch are the most important meals of the day, and Johnny’s Diner has exactly what you need for that energy to keep on rocking through-out the event. Family owned and operated, you’ll probably find yourself making some friends while you eat. We highly recommend a slice of Carrot Cake for dessert, because it’s amazing. They’re open until 3pm so get there early to beat the rush!

Johnny’s Diner is also a sponsor of FANTOKU, and as such is offering a massive 10% discount for mentioning that you’re here for Nerd Fest when you order.

Chewy Boba

Sometimes you just need something sweet to wet your whistle, and Chewy Boba is the place to be for your exotic Asian style Boba Teas and coffee drinks. They also have delicious Macaroons so you can get your snack nom noms on. Super friendly and a great treat that people of all ages can enjoy.

They also have multiple DDR style arcade machines on premises, so you can enjoy a game or two with friends while you enjoy your drinks.

Kiko Japanese Cuisine

Sushi is ALWAYS in style. Lunch, dinner, snacks, breakfast, 2nd breakfast, 3rd breakfa…. Ok, you get it. We LOVE sushi. Kiko is a wonderful restaurant with high quality rolls and is a great place to take a break and enjoy some of that deliciousness that only Sushi can give you. You can never go wrong with Eel, and you’d do well to remember that!

We personally have a quota every month that demands some type of sushi or we will just literally die. YUMMY!

China Garden

China Garden is a great place for a super yummy and reasonably priced dinner, and a great place to get your friends together for a full meal. They also recently added a Noodle Bar, so now you can also get amazing soups like Ramen and get your Naruto on. Chozo gets Udon Soup every time, so you know it must be good.

They have a lot of seating at China Garden, so you never really have to worry about them running out of space during the dinner rush. They also offer a Student Discount for local colleges!

Rule #1: Enjoy Yourself

Regardless of where you decide to dine this weekend, all of the places mentioned here are a part of the same plaza as our FANTOKU event spaces, so they’re super convenient. We’ve had the luxury of eating at them all multiple times and have loved them all every time. We hope our recommendations help you to have an extra enjoyable dining experience on this super special weekend!
